Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Spotted on NBTC Database

Samsung is gradually clearing regulatory certifications for its upcoming Galaxy S26 series. Recently, the Galaxy S26 Ultra received approval from Thailand’s NBTC authority. If anything, this indicates that the company is gearing up for an early 2026 launch, though we might see a delay of 4-5 weeks.
Galaxy S26 Ultra receives NBTC certification as we move closer to launch
As spotted by Mukul Sharma on X, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has certified the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The listing clearly mentions the marketing name “Galaxy S26 Ultra” along with the model number SM-S948B/DS. The “B” variant confirms that this is the global model, while “DS” indicates dual-SIM support.
This is not the first certification for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Earlier, the device was spotted on the FCC in the US and China’s 3C. Also, the battery units for all S26 models have already appeared on India’s BIS database. All these certifications suggest that Samsung is finalizing regulatory approvals across multiple regions ahead of launch.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ in February 2026 at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event. The S25 series arrived in January, but the 2026 lineup faces a delay of 4-5 weeks.
In terms of hardware, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a large 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Samsung’s efficient M14 OLED panel. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite for Galaxy chipset globally, paired with 12GB of advanced LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.2 storage. The device may pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 60W wired fast charging and 25W wireless charging.
On the camera side, the Galaxy S26 Ultra gets a 200MP primary shooter, a 10MP 3x telephoto lens, a 50MP 5x periscope sensor, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera may get a wider 85-degree field of view for improved selfies and video calls. Stay tuned for more certifications and leaks.
