Samsung rolls out the second One UI 8 beta build for the Galaxy S25
When Samsung launched its One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series last month, it was only available in four markets: Germany, South Korea, the US, and the UK. Earlier today, the company expanded the beta program to India and Poland. This expansion coincided with the release of Beta 2 in the other four regions. Samsung is also expected to release beta updates in China, though nothing is official yet.
The latest beta release brings a host of bug fixes and performance enhancements. It marks a major step toward platform stability ahead of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 launch next month. Samsung has already confirmed that the new foldables will run One UI 8 out of the box.
Their launch event is expected to take place in New York City on July 9. However, Samsung may take a few more weeks before pushing the stable One UI 8 update to other models. It may release a couple more beta builds for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. The Korean firm should also launch beta programs for more devices in the coming weeks, including the Galaxy S24 series.
Nonetheless, One UI 8 will arrive substantially quicker than One UI 7. If all goes well, Samsung may begin the stable rollout for older models in August and wrap out the rollout by the end of October. We will keep you posted as more information becomes available about Samsung’s One UI 8 plans.
