One UI 8 Beta 2 Changes: Bug Fixes and New Features

Samsung recently released the second One UI 8 beta build for the Galaxy S25 series. It simultaneously expanded the beta program to India and Poland, adding to the previously supported four markets: South Korea, Germany, the UK, and the US. As expected, the new release brings a myriad of bug fixes, enhancements, and other changes. Here’s everything new in One UI 8 Beta 2 for the Galaxy S25 trio.
Samsung rolls out One UI 8 Beta 2 with several key changes
For starters, Samsung has added a new feedback function to improve the performance of the AI-powered Interpreter feature. This allows users to share their experience directly with Samsung, helping refine real-time translation capabilities. Sadly, this is the only “new feature” on the official release notes. The rest are all bug fixes and improvements.
Those begin with a fix for a layout issue with the Now Brief feature. Samsung has corrected the persistent display of the morning briefing. It has also improved the battery widget icon and fixed sizing problems for widgets on the lock screen. Additionally, the company addressed bugs causing occasional fingerprint recognition failures and screen errors, including unlocking issues within the Secure Folder.
Elsewhere, Samsung fixed problems with file transfers and biometric authentication in Secure Folder. An issue where Bluetooth calls in vehicles experienced sudden volume drops has also been resolved. For Galaxy gamers, notifications now play sounds properly during gameplay. Bugs affecting the appearance of AI-powered weather and time wallpapers have been fixed too.
On top of this, Samsung claims enhancements for the swipe-back gesture, allowing for more reliable gesture-based navigation. If you were annoyed with the Air Command icon disappearing after removing the S Pen, the problem no longer exists in the second One UI 8 beta release.
The previous beta build had another annoying bug that blocked alarm sounds if you didn’t update the Clock app after installing the beta. The One UI 8 Beta 2 changes that behavior, so alarms will now sound properly even if you do not update Clock. However, you should update all apps for a more reliable performance. This release also improves the stability of various stock apps, including the Camera app.
Last but not least, Samsung touts numerous under-the-hood improvements to boost system performance and reliability. The latest beta release should soon be available for Galaxy S25 users in the aforementioned six markets.
