Samsung Could Start Rolling Out One UI 8 Beta 2 Next Week

It’s been quite a few days since the first One UI 8 beta rolled out for the Galaxy S25 series. Since then, we’ve only caught Samsung testing different beta builds, but the second round of One UI 8 beta (yes, One UI 8 beta 2) hasn’t hit the streets yet. That might be just around the corner, if a new tip is anything to go by.

One UI 8 beta 2 might drop next week for the Galaxy S25 series

According to Tarun Vats, One UI 8 beta 2 will “most likely” start rolling out next week. That’s right in line with previous rumors suggesting the same, but to be fair, we were hoping for the second beta to drop by the first week of June. We’re already halfway through the first week, but there’s still a chance Samsung could pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Although the One UI 8 beta forum page is live for a bunch of devices, not many of them have received the update yet. This includes the Galaxy S22 and S23 series. Vats had previously suggested that the Galaxy S24 series will likely receive the One UI 8 beta in late June. Post which, the beta could roll out to more devices.

For now, we can keep our fingers crossed that One UI beta 2 drops next week for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The Galaxy S25 Edge has stayed out of the picture so far. And there’s no sign whether it will receive the One UI 8 beta or not. What can happen, however, is that it might join the beta party later.

One UI beta 2 seemingly fixes key issues from first beta, including widget resizing and app drawer alignment problems. It introduces a new One UI Home version with smoother animations. The predictive back gesture is temporarily removed in this beta. We hope that Samsung spreads the beta program to more regions with next beta.
