One UI 8 Beta May be Available for Galaxy S24 in June — S23 in July

Last week, Samsung kicked off the One UI 8 beta rollout for the Galaxy S25 series, marking the start of its Android 16-based testing phase. While the company hasn’t officially announced beta programs for other devices, it has developed internal beta builds for multiple models. A new report now reveals a potential One UI 8 beta rollout schedule for the Galaxy S24 and S23 lineups.
The Galaxy S24 series may get One UI 8 beta in June
According to noted tipster @tarunvats33, Samsung is preparing to release the One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy S24 series sometime in late June. Well, the timeline could slip into early July depending on internal testing and bug fixes, but the company is laying the groundwork. The Galaxy S23 series is also in line to receive the beta update, but reportedly not until July 2025.
The tipster says these are unofficial timelines based on the current development pace. The dates could change and should be taken with caution. It isn’t uncommon for beta rollouts to face delays due to last-minute bugs or unresolved stability issues, especially with system-level changes. And with One UI 8, Samsung is making plenty of changes to your Galaxy experience.
Besides the Galaxy S24 and S23, One UI 8 beta should also be available for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, possibly around the same time as the S24 series. Moreover, Samsung may release beta updates for recent flagship tablets and mid-range smartphones sometime in July. It should officially announce this expansion in the coming weeks, once it is ready with a fairly stable beta build.
Samsung has already confirmed that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will launch with Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box. The new foldables may go official in July, though older models are unlikely to receive the stable build until August or September. It should still manage to push One UI 8 to all eligible models before the end of 2025. We will keep you posted.
