Galaxy S22 Series Might Soon Join the One UI 8 Beta Party

Samsung’s One UI 8 beta program is now live, but only for the Galaxy S25 series. For now, it’s available in fewer countries compared to the One UI 7 beta program. Some other countries could get the One UI 8 beta program in the next round. After the Galaxy S23 series community page for One UI 8 beta went live, someone spotted the same for the Galaxy S22 series.
One UI 8 beta program could open soon for the Galaxy S22 series
If the Community page is any indication, the Galaxy S22 series will get the One UI 8 beta very soon. Samsung has now published the beta program community page for the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra (via @ya_sking12767, thanks!). That definitely means some good news is brewing.

Earlier this month, the Galaxy S22 Ultra was spotted running Android 16 on Geekbench. However, there was no clear information about whether the 2022 flagship phones would be eligible for the One UI 8 beta. Now, we see positive signs. We can confidently say it’s coming soon. In fact, yesterday, the same beta page was spotted for the Galaxy S23 series. It’s plausible that both the Galaxy S22 and S23 series could try the Android 16-based One UI 8 beta at the same time.
Additionally, Samsung plans to debut the stable One UI 8 next month. It confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will run One UI 8 out of the box. There’s no word yet on when other phones, like the Galaxy S25 series or older models, will get the stable update. But once it’s officially released, it won’t be long before the others follow. This sounds a lot like Samsung’s apology for the One UI 7 rollout, but we’ll gladly accept it.
