Of all the devices launches so far in 2025, the Galaxy Z TriFold is still the most anticipated. Samsung confirmed the device during its January Unpacked event and later reiterated its existence to select press in July. According to which, the company plans to launch the trifold before the end of the year.

We’re now in September, leaving less than three months before Samsung could unveil what may debut as the Galaxy Z TriFold. Even with official confirmation, questions remain about whether the device will reach global markets. Samsung has often limited select releases to South Korea or China, as it did with the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition (unboxing) in 2024.

Samsung will launch Galaxy Z TriFold in the US as well!

But a new report from CNN gives a sigh of relief to those in the US waiting for the Galaxy Z TriFold. According to the report, Samsung is still weighing which markets will get the Galaxy Z TriFold. The US is reportedly on the list, which makes sense since the country has yet to see a trifold foldable on store shelves.

Huawei might technically beat Samsung to a tri-fold launch, but it faces major hurdles that are often overlooked. Its device doesn’t run Android due to a US government ban, which blocks Google services including the Play Store in favor of Huawei’s HarmonyOS. That gives Samsung a clear advantage when it finally releases its own trifold.

Leaks have already revealed several key features of the Galaxy Z TriFold, from its folding mechanism to animation files showing NFC payment support, wireless charging, and reverse power sharing. With so much screen real estate, it will also be a multitasking powerhouse. Even more, it will get its own One UI 8 tricks.

As you’d expect, it won’t come cheap. Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold will reportedly come at much higher price, with previous estimates suggesting a price of 4 million Korean won. That converts to roughly $2,900 USD.
