Samsung looks set to upgrade the battery on the Galaxy S26 Edge to 4,200mAh — a noticeable bump from the 3,900mAh unit in the S25 Edge. The Galaxy S26 Pro, which replaces the base model, may feature a slightly larger 4,300mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Ultra model is likely to retain its reliable 5,000mAh capacity.

Galaxy S26 Edge and S26 Pro’s battery capacity revealed in new leak

Samsung may rebrand its flagship lineup next year. Instead of a base-Plus-Ultra setup, we may get a Galaxy S26 Pro, an S26 Edge, and an S26 Ultra. This rebranding appears to be part of a broader strategic overhaul to enhance the appeal of flagship Galaxy smartphones. The new models are expected to bring major hardware upgrades across several key areas.

One such area could be the battery. While the Ultra may keep a 5,000mAh battery for the seventh generation in a row, the other two models may get notable upgrades. According to GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S26 Edge — codename M2, model number SM-S947 — has a rated battery capacity of 4078mAh, which should mean a typical capacity of 4200mAh.

As mentioned above, this year’s Galaxy S25 Edge has a 3,900mAh battery. The Edge model is all about a slim design with flagship specs. Samsung should maintain that formula with the next-gen offering, more so because it is being integrated in the main lineup in place of the Plus model. In fact, rumors suggest the next Edge will be slimmer than the S25 Edge (5.8mm), which makes a battery upgrade even more impressive.

The same source adds that the Galaxy S26 Pro’s battery has a rated capacity of 4175mAh, which typically equates to an advertised capacity of 4300mAh. Once again, we are looking at a 300mAh capacity boost compared to the base Galaxy S25. It’s unclear if the S26 Pro will be slimmer, though — the base S25 is 7.2mm thick.

Recent developments suggest Samsung will offer 60W charging on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, up from 45W on the S25 Ultra. It’s unclear if the Pro and Edge models will get the same super-fast charging. The company could limit them to 45W, which is still faster than the Galaxy S25 and S25 Edge (both 25W). Stay tuned for more updates.
