Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra is back for 2025 — but if you’re expecting a full redesign or major hardware overhaul, temper your expectations. Announced alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic, the new Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) is a modest refresh with just two key upgrades: more storage and a new color option.

Not much is new in the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra

The biggest upgrade this year is internal storage. The 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra now comes with 64GB of storage, up from 32GB in the original model. That’s a welcome boost for anyone who likes to store music, apps, or offline maps on their watch. But that’s pretty much it as long as functional upgrades are concerned. While Samsung gives buyers a fresh visual option with a new Titanium Blue colorway, it doesn’t add any real value.

With this addition, you can pick the new Watch Ultra in four different shades: Titanium Blue, Titanium Gray, Titanium Silver, and Titanium White. It still features a Grade 4 titanium case, but the new finish offers a bit more flair for those looking for a standout look.

In every other area, the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) is identical to last year’s model. You get a 47mm titanium case with sapphire crystal display protection, a 1.47-inch Super AMOLED screen with 3,000 nits peak brightness, IP68 and 10ATM water resistance, MIL-STD-810H certified for shock and durability, and the Exynos W1000 3nm chip with 2GB of RAM. Fueled by a 590mAh battery, the watch charges at 10W. It boasts dual-frequency GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, a speaker, and a microphone.

In terms of software experience, you get One UI 8 Watch out of the box, introducing a host of new and improved health features. However, the original Galaxy Watch Ultra will receive this update shortly, so that doesn’t count as a differentiator. In the long run, the 2025 model will get an additional year of support. If you think it’s worth your money, pre-orders are now live.
