Galaxy S26’s Qi2 Charger Leaks Again but Magnet Support Remains Unclear

If the rumors pan out, Samsung will announce the Galaxy S26 series on February 25. As usual, preorders may open shortly afterward. One lingering question, though, is whether the Galaxy S26 lineup will include built-in magnets. Either way, Samsung’s Qi2 Magnet Wireless Charger for the Galaxy S26 series keeps leaking.
We get another look at Samsung’s Qi2 Magnet Wireless Charger for the Galaxy S26
We saw Samsung’s Qi2 wireless charger for the Galaxy S26 series in the flesh over a week ago. Today, another leaker, Roland Quandt, posted what could be the official images of the Qi2 Magnet Wireless Charger (EP-P2900). The photos show a round magnetic charging puck with a USB-C connector built into one edge. The attached cable appears to be nylon braided.
These are details we’ve already covered, and if you’re interested, you can check out our earlier report. What’s different now is the timing. A week ago, when we first saw the charger in person, the feeling was that Samsung might finally be ready to bring Qi2 magnets to the Galaxy S26 series.
Based on newer reports, though, that optimism looks premature. As noted by 9to5Google, a case leak from Nieuwe Mobiel suggests that Galaxy S26 cases will be available in both magnetic and non-magnetic versions. If Samsung had actually built Qi2 magnets into the Galaxy S26 hardware, selling official non-magnetic cases would logically undermine a core feature.
There’s still a slim chance Samsung could change course by launch, and hopefully it does. For now, however, it looks like Qi2 magnet ambitions for the Galaxy S26 series have hit a roadblock. That shifts expectations to the Galaxy S27 series, which means waiting another twelve months.
