Galaxy Z TriFold Could Make Its Official Debut at Korea’s APEC Summit

It’s not that Samsung is secretly working on a tri-fold device. In fact, the company has officially confirmed plans to launch what could debut as the Galaxy Z TriFold by the end of the year. Several details remain under wraps, including a first official look.
Will we see Galaxy Z TriFold at the APEC Summit? Report says yes
Thankfully, a report from ETNews published earlier today notes that Samsung will showcase the Galaxy Z TriFold at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, scheduled for October 27 to November 1 in Gyeongju, South Korea.

The outlet confirms that the tri-fold will measure “up to 10 inches” when unfolded. It also notes that initial production will be just about 50,000 units, which is only 10% of what Samsung produced for the original Galaxy Z Fold in 2019.
The good news is that recent reports suggest the US is still part of the launch plans, with a strong chance that Samsung will bring the Galaxy Z TriFold to the American market as well. Other likely markets include China and South Korea, which also received the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition in 2024.
It looks like Samsung will first showcase the Galaxy Z TriFold at the APEC Summit, with a retail launch expected shortly after. Whether the US will see the device at the same time as Korea remains unclear, and we will have to wait for more details.
Even if the US launch is simultaneous, pricing will be a challenge. Earlier reports suggest the Galaxy Z TriFold could cost around $3,000, which is $1,000 more than the current Galaxy Z Fold 7 and roughly $1,700 more than the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Will you buy the Galaxy Z TriFold if it launches in the US this November?
