Surprise! Galaxy A17 5G Starts Receiving One UI 8 Update

The start of this week has been quite eventful for those eagerly awaiting the One UI 8 update. Samsung has begun rolling out the stable Android 16-based One UI 8 update to several devices. Just yesterday, the Galaxy A26 started receiving the update, and now the Galaxy A17 5G has joined the list.

Spotted by Mohammed Khatri, Samsung is rolling out the Android 16-based One UI 8 update to the Galaxy A17 5G in Vietnam. This suggests that other regions should follow soon. According to Khatri, the build version is A176BXXU2BYID. It likely includes the September 2025 security patch.

If you own a Galaxy A17 and are in Vietnam, you can go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Depending on the size of the download, it may take some time, but once the update is complete, you can start enjoying One UI 8.
