Here’s Another Look at the Galaxy Z TriFold’s Folding Mechanism!

Samsung may not be releasing the Galaxy Z TriFold anytime soon. Recent reports suggest that while Samsung could unveil the Galaxy Z TriFold, its availability might be pushed back by a few more weeks.
To make matters worse, we came across a recent Chinese regulatory filing. It shows that the application was “suspended” at Samsung’s request. Now, this confirms the company is delaying the launch.
Latest leak shows off the Galaxy Z TriFold’s folding mechanism!
But as we move forward, the leaks keep coming. Another video, shared by TechHighest on X, showcases the folding mechanism of the Galaxy Z TriFold, and it’s clear how different it is compared to the current Galaxy Z Fold 7. The video highlights the G-Fold mechanism, where three panels use two inward-folding hinges that form a “G” shape when closed.
In recent days, even more hints about the Galaxy Z TriFold have surfaced. One leak detailed how reverse charging, NFC payments, and other features will work. Another revealed the multitasking capabilities the device will offer. It also appears to be getting its own set of One UI 8 tricks, all of which suggest that development is picking up speed.
On top of that, a global variant of the upcoming tri-fold has appeared in the GSMA IMEI database. This confirms that the Galaxy Z TriFold won’t be limited to South Korea and China but will eventually roll out to more regions. That said, the initial launch may still be restricted to those markets. Because Samsung reportedly plans to produce only 50,000 units in the first batch. That’s only around 10 percent of the initial Galaxy Z Fold shipments back in 2019.
