Wonderland 1.6.16 Update Boosts Battery Efficiency for Dynamic Wallpapers

Samsung has updated its Wonderland app, a Good Lock module, with version 1.6.16. The update focuses on improving battery efficiency when using dynamic wallpapers on your Galaxy device. The company should push the new build to all eligible Galaxy users globally in the coming days.
Samsung optimizes the Wonderland App for better battery performance
Samsung’s Wonderland app lets Galaxy users create dynamic wallpapers and lock screen effects. For example, you can set up motion effects that respond to your device’s gyroscope. Furthermore, it also offers a bunch of particle effects, such as rain, snow, bubbles, and sparkles, to customize your screen. With each update, the company aims to improve the app’s performance and add new features for a seamless user experience.
Last month, the module gained support for One UI 8 devices and introduced a new blur effect. You can use vertical and horizontal blur options for the lock screen transition effect. Now, the latest version brings improved battery management, letting you set animated live wallpapers without worrying about draining your device’s power quickly.
While the changelog did not mention any other details, you can expect the company to make some backend improvements and fix known bugs. This should result in an overall smoother performance when using the app. So, if you love adding creative effects to your wallpaper, you should update the Wonderland app as soon as possible. To do so, open your Galaxy Store and search for the app, or alternatively, you can check for updates within the Good Lock plugin tab.
Note that you may not see the latest version right away, as Samsung usually pushes updates in phases. So, the update may take a few days or even a week to show up on your device. Meanwhile, Samsung is gearing up to roll out the final version of One UI 8, with leaks pointing to September 18 as the potential release date for the Galaxy S25 series.
