Samsung Wonderland Just Got a Lot More Fun with Directional Blur

Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI 8 update for its Good Lock module, Wonderland. It’s more than just a routine update with several notable changes, including a creative new feature called blur direction. It allows you to make live wallpapers more expressive and dynamic. The update also contains UI enhancements and bug fixes.

One of the first things you’ll notice in version 1.6.15 of Wonderland is the redesigned user interface. Samsung has reworked in-app icons and labels, relocating some options and freeing up space for a cleaner and more emotive layout. The changes give the app a smoother, more immersive feel. But besides the UI changes, the blur direction feature makes this update more special.

When adding blur effects to your wallpaper, Wonderland now lets you pick between blur styles. The Vertical option adds a vertical movement to the blur, giving a soft, bouncing feel. If you select the Horizontal option, you get a horizontal movement for a sweeping blur effect. You can also go with the default blur style.

Wonderland has always offered rich customization for live wallpapers, but this new tool introduces a subtle motion dynamic that adds life to your lock screen visuals. The new blur options make the wallpaper animations feel more interactive and layered, perfect for those who want a more customized aesthetic. Speaking of which, customizations get easier thanks to thicker sliders.

Alongside the visual upgrades and the blur direction feature, version 1.6.15 Wonderland includes bug fixes to ensure smoother performance. Samsung previously said that these enhancements will be part of the One UI 8 update for the app. The update is now rolling out via the Galaxy Store and should be available to all eligible Galaxy users globally over the next few days.
