Unless you recently picked up one of Samsung’s new foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 (review), or Flip 7 FE (review), you are probably wondering when your device will get the One UI 8 update. The short answer is it should not take long. According to a leaked One UI 8 release schedule, the update for these devices is expected to start rolling out by October 2.

There is, of course, a long list of Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip devices waiting in line, which means the full rollout will take some time. Surprisingly, at least according to the leak, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 could receive One UI 8 before the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. That’s something we aren’t entirely sure about and it’s hard to understand why it’d be the case. Regardless, the leaks are hard to ignore and there it is.

When will your Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip devices receive One UI 8 update?

  • Galaxy Z Fold 6 – October 2
  • Galaxy Z Flip 6 – October 2
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5 – October 13
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5 – October 13
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4 – October 6
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4 – October 6

These dates come from a third-party website that mainly tracks updates in Turkey. That’s likely why the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition does not appear on the list, though it should receive the update around the same time. Historically, the Turkish update schedule often matches Europe, usually following the Korean release but arriving before the US rollout.
