According to X user @kro_roe, Samsung will equip the Galaxy Z Fold 8 with a 5,000mAh battery, a substantial jump from the Fold 7’s 4,400mAh unit. If true, this marks the biggest battery yet in a Z Fold device, and could help address a major pain point of the lineup. The Fold 8 is also rumored to offer a larger inner screen with a more balanced aspect ratio. Camera upgrades are in the pipeline as well.

The same source adds that the Galaxy S26 Edge will see a similar battery boost, jumping from 3,900mAh to 4,500mAh. Samsung may also offer 45W charging on the new Edge.
