Walk-a-thon India: Walk 200K Steps and Earn a Galaxy Watch 8 Reward

Samsung has just rolled out an exciting fitness challenge in India that could land you the Galaxy Watch 8 for free — or at the very least, score you a discount of up to ₹15,000 on it. As part of the third edition of Samsung Walk-a-thon India, the company is inviting Samsung Health users to put their best foot forward and complete 200,000 steps in 30 days to earn rewards. If you’re already eyeing the newly launched Galaxy Watch 8, you might not want to miss this challenge.

Walk 200,000 steps in 30 days to win a Galaxy Watch 8

Samsung’s latest edition of Walk-a-thon India begins on August 1 and runs through August 30, 2025. Participants must walk 200,000 steps within this 30-day window to qualify for the rewards. The company will randomly select three winners from all eligible participants who complete the challenge. The three lucky winners will get a Galaxy Watch 8 completely free. All other finishers will receive a discount coupon worth up to ₹15,000 for the Galaxy Watch 8.

This coupon can be used on Samsung’s official website or the Samsung Shop app in India. The Galaxy Watch 8 starts at ₹32,999 in the country. You’ll score a good discount on the watch depending on the voucher amount and the watch variant you choose.

If this sounds exciting to you, hurry up and join the challenge now. Download the Samsung Health app on your Samsung smartphone and sign in with your Samsung account. While Samsung Health is also available for non-Samsung Android smartphones, you need Samsung Members to claim the prize. The latter only works on Galaxy devices, hence you should participate in this challenge through a Samsung phone.

Once done, register for the Walk-a-thon India August 2025 challenge and start walking. The app will automatically track your steps using your phone’s accelerometer and gyroscope sensors. If you accumulate 200,000 steps between August 1 and August 30, 2025, you are eligible for a reward. As said, the winners for the grand prize (three Galaxy Watch 8 units) will be selected randomly from eligible entries. Others will get the discount coupon.

You can claim your reward from the Samsung Members app between September 5 and September 30, 2025. Go to the ‘Benefits’ section, select the Walk-a-thon India challenge, and claim your prize.
