Samsung’s upcoming flagship Android tablet, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, has been making a lot of headlines in recent weeks. Just a few days ago, leaked official renders and live photos gave us our first look at the device’s design. Now, we also have information about its battery capacity and charging speed, thanks to a recent SGS Fimko certification listing.

Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra may get battery upgrade, no change in charging speed

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will arrive in the market as Samsung’s most premium tablet. One key segment that most buyers pay close attention to is finally getting a notable upgrade. We are talking about the battery capacity, which will see a substantial improvement over the predecessor Tab S10 Ultra.

According to Finland’s SGS Fimko certification platform (via Xpertpick), the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra (model number SM-X936B) will pack a massive 11,600mAh battery. That’s 400mAh more than the 11,200mAh battery found in last year’s Ultra tablet. You can now expect longer battery life during heavy tasks as well.

As for charging speed, the listing reveals that it will come with support for 45W fast charging. This is the same charging speed as the previous three generations, which is slightly disappointing, mainly considering the tablet’s massive battery capacity. Samsung should really break that limit by introducing a faster charging solution. Rumors suggest next year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra will support 60W charging, but the upcoming Ultra tablet doesn’t get that upgrade.

While the listing has not revealed any other specifications, previous reports claim that the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will use the Dimensity 9400+ (3nm) chip. This means we will see a meaningful upgrade in the processor segment as well — the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra came with the Dimensity 9300+ (4nm). On the software front, the tablet should run Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box.

As far as launch is concerned, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra may debut in September or October 2025, alongside its sibling, the Galaxy Tab S11. We will likely learn more about both tablets as we get closer to the official unveiling.
