Samsung Updates LockStar with Fixes for One UI 8 and Fold 7 AOD

Samsung is pushing a fresh LockStar update to Galaxy devices running One UI 8. The latest release, version 7.0.01.9, addresses several known issues for seamless lock screen customization. Most notably, it fixes an AOD (Always-On Display) bug affecting the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s cover screen.
LockStar gets a fresh update on One UI 8 devices
LockStar is a Good Lock module for customizing the lock screen and AOD on Galaxy devices. It allows you to rearrange, resize, and customize clock styles, widgets, notifications, and even interactive elements, offering far more flexibility than the stock One UI settings. It’s especially popular among users who want a personalized, functional lock screen without relying on third-party apps.
The latest update for this app fixes an annoying issue on the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Users have had trouble applying widgets and stickers to the new Fold’s cover screen AOD. Brightness controls also didn’t behave correctly, and Samsung patched that bug as well. Moreover, LockStar version 7.0.01.9 addresses a persistent lock screen widget issue affecting all Galaxy models on One UI 8.
This update restores smooth, bug-free customization, letting users once again tweak their lock screens without glitches. The new version is rolling out to all eligible devices via the Galaxy Store.
Currently, One UI 8 is officially available on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE. Additionally, Samsung has rolled out beta updates to the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6. The company plans to begin the wider stable rollout in September, though most devices may not receive the update until October.
For those who rely on Good Lock for customization, this update ensures LockStar is once again ready to make the most of your One UI 8 lock screen and AOD. You can update the app from Good Lock or the Galaxy Store.
