Galaxy Tab A11 Could Launch Next Month With One UI 7

While the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and Tab S11 series are making most of the headlines, Samsung also has a new budget Android tablet in the pipeline, the Galaxy Tab A11. Expected to launch next month, the Tab A model may ship with One UI 7 instead of One UI 8. The newest firmware build available on Samsung’s servers shows it running the Android 15-based OS.

Samsung may have already launched new products with Android 16-based One UI 8 onboard — the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE run the new OS out of the box — but the company is not yet ready for its wide rollout. It is still beta testing the update on several Galaxy devices, with further expansion of beta programs planned in the coming weeks.

The Korean firm says it will deliver the stable version to the Galaxy S25 series in September. However, most other models may not receive the update until sometime in October. Any new product Samsung launches before a wide One UI 8 rollout is unlikely to ship with the new OS. And the Galaxy Tab A11 falls in that group, evidence suggests. The device was spotted on Samsung’s servers with One UI 7, carrying the firmware build version X130XXU1AYH1. This also pretty much confirms a September launch of the new budget tablet.

As mentioned above, Samsung is also readying a new mid-range model, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite. Additionally, it’s gearing up to debut its next-gen flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra. These devices may go official in October, if not earlier. It remains to be seen whether the company ships them with One UI 8 or if they also arrive running One UI 7 out of the box.
