Weeks after rolling out the One UI 8 beta, Samsung today announced that it will expand the program to the Galaxy S24 series and more. According to the announcement, the One UI 8 beta for the Galaxy S24 series will launch next week in the US, UK, Korea, and India. There’s no word on why Germany and Poland are absent from the list. But if you’re in one of those regions, you won’t have to wait long.

Samsung begins internally testing One UI 8 beta build for the Galaxy S24 series

Shortly after Samsung’s announcement, a user spotted signs of activity on the company’s internal servers. Akhilesh Kumar, posting on X, shared that Samsung has begun testing a One UI 8 build, likely a beta version, for the Galaxy S24 series. The build in question is version S92*NKSU4ZYH1, confirming that development is indeed underway. If all goes smoothly, the beta update could start rolling out as early as August 11.

Alongside the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 will also gain access to the One UI 8 beta. That should finally satisfy last year’s foldable flagships, which have been left waiting for some time. Samsung plans to bring the beta to mid-range models and older flagships starting next month. By the time they get it, the Galaxy S25 series will likely be showing off the stable One UI 8 release.

In due course, all eligible devices will receive the One UI 8 update, a process that should take a few weeks to complete. Rollout schedules often vary depending on the device model, carrier, and region, so some users might see the update sooner while others will need to wait a little longer. If you are unsure whether your Galaxy qualifies for One UI 8, you can check the full list of eligible models.
