Samsung Rolls Out One UI 7 to Galaxy M35, More M Series Devices to Follow

Samsung is bringing the latest Android and One UI experience to more Galaxy users. The company has officially begun rolling out the One UI 7 update to the Galaxy M35, marking the mid-range M series’ entry into its newest software version. The update is currently live only in India, but should expand to other regions soon.
Galaxy M35 gets One UI 7, its first major OS upgrade
The Galaxy M35, which launched in May 2024 with Android 14 and One UI 6.1, is receiving Android 15-based One UI 7 as its first major OS upgrade. The update comes with the build number M356BXXU4BYD6 and weighs around 3.7GB. The massive OTA (over the air) file size is indicative of the myriad of new features it brings.
For a quick recap, One UI 7 brings updated visuals with softer colors and smoother animations, more customization options and a cleaner layout for Quick Panel, vertical App Drawer for easier one-handed navigation, updated camera app with a more intuitive layout and streamlined controls, improved Security with Auto Blocker, enhanced battery protection, and more.
Now Bar, a new lock screen and status bar element that displays live activities, media playback, and notifications, is also part of the package for the Galaxy M35. Additionally, this update includes the April 2025 security patch, addressing a bunch of vulnerabilities. Since this is a major update, users are advised to use a stable Wi-Fi connection when downloading the OTA file.
To check for the update manually, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install on your device. Since the rollout began recently, some users may have to wait a day or two to receive it. With the Galaxy M35 now joining the One UI 7 club, more M series devices are likely to follow in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for further updates on the rollout.
