Samsung has officially opened the One UI 8 beta program in the US. The beta update is live for the Galaxy S25 series, giving users early access to the next-gen Galaxy experience. It is also available in Korea, Germany, and the UK, with India, China, and Poland expected to join soon. There’s no telling if Samsung will launch beta programs in more markets, though it’s almost certain to expand the beta update to additional devices.

Galaxy S25 users in the US can now join the One UI 8 beta

One UI 8 focuses heavily on enhancing Galaxy AI and delivering a more intelligent, contextual, and personalized UX. With features like multimodal AI interaction, a redesigned Secure Folder, and better productivity tools, the beta promises a forward-looking experience for power users and casual users alike. Based on Android 16, this update will hit the stable channel later this summer, coinciding with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 launch.

Ahead of that, Samsung has launched a beta program that allows Galaxy users to try out the update early and report bugs, if any. While the beta update is currently limited to the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, it may soon be available for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and select Galaxy A-series models.

If you’re using a Galaxy S25 model (excluding the Edge) in the US — either a T-Mobile locked unit or an unlocked one (other carriers may join the party soon) — you can enroll in One UI 8 Beta via the Samsung Members app. Open the app > look for the One UI 8 Beta Program banner > tap “Join” > agree to the terms. Once enrolled, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and install to download the beta build. Users in the UK, Germany, and Korea will follow a similar process.
