Samsung May Expand Audio Eraser to Notes and Voice Recorder in One UI 8

Samsung is testing its Audio Eraser capability on more apps beyond just the Gallery through an internal beta build of One UI 8. The Korean firm appears to be integrating Audio Eraser into Samsung Notes and Voice Recorder, allowing users to conveniently remove background noise from their recordings. These improvements may be pushed either to the potential fourth public beta build or directly to the stable build of One UI 8.
Audio Eraser comes to more apps in One UI 8 internal beta
Just yesterday, we learned that Samsung may further enhance system fluency and responsiveness in One UI 8. And now, improvements to a powerful Galaxy AI feature called Audio Eraser have emerged. Introduced with One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25 series, Audio Eraser lets you remove unwanted background noise from videos. However, Samsung enabled this capability only through a special editing interface within its stock Gallery app.
With One UI 8, Samsung intends to expand Audio Eraser to other stock apps such as Samsung Notes and Voice Recorder. Once you record your audio in these apps, a Galaxy AI button appears on the same screen. Tapping on the button will automatically clean up background noise from the audio file. This is a welcome improvement that enhances voice quality.
Furthermore, tipster @UniverseIce discovered that Samsung now allows users to trigger the Audio Eraser feature without accessing a separate editing screen in the Gallery app. The tipster notes, “Now you can eliminate the noise immediately while watching the video without entering the editing state”. When you play a video, you will notice an Audio Eraser button on the screen. Simply tap it, and the feature will automatically remove background noise for a cleaner listening experience.
Note that Samsung has yet to include these improvements in its public One UI 8 beta builds — they are currently available only in an internal beta build. If these enhancements prove to be stable and do not cause any bugs or performance issues during internal testing, we should see them in the final One UI 8 build.
