Samsung Inches Closer to One UI 8.5 Beta 2 Release

Samsung is preparing the second One UI 8.5 Beta update for the Galaxy S25 series. A new test build, identified by a version number ending in ZYLD, recently surfaced on the official servers, confirming the ongoing work. The update is expected to arrive early next week with bug fixes and feature enhancements.
Samsung gears up for One UI 8 Beta 2 for Galaxy S25 lineup
It’s been just over a week since Samsung launched the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series. As usual, early adopters are now looking ahead to Beta 2, which typically includes bug fixes and an expansion of the program to additional regions. After the initial launch in the US, the UK, Germany, and South Korea, Samsung should roll out beta in Poland and India next.
Interestingly, Samsung continues to develop One UI 8.5 beta builds for Canadian Galaxy S25 units. However, there are no real signs that it will launch beta programs in the country. Or maybe the company has some surprises up its sleeves; we shall find out soon.
As far as the Beta 2 launch is concerned, we do not have official confirmation yet. However, based on leaks, it is likely to drop next Monday, December 22. Alongside bug fixes, this update will bring back the Dual Recording and Single Take camera features Samsung removed in the first beta build. These features will now be part of Camera Assistant, which will also add more Pro-grade custom options.
Users with a Galaxy S24 are also waiting for news about One UI 8.5 Beta for their devices, so there are a lot of eyes on Samsung. If the company follows its usual playbook, some older models may get beta access. But One UI 8.5 is a relatively smaller release, so nothing can be said just yet. Stay tuned for more.
