Samsung Continues Polishing One UI 8 Beta Builds for Galaxy S24, Galaxy S25

The One UI 8 is already here, up and running on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 (review) series phones. Yet it’s taking its sweet time to arrive as a stable update on the Galaxy S25 series, and as a beta update on the Galaxy S24 series.
Samsung says that the One UI 8 stable update for the Galaxy S25 series will arrive in September. By then, we’ll probably also see the Galaxy S25 FE announced, according to rumors. It’s rumored to launch running One UI 8, which is nice. But that also means the FE could get One UI 8 before the flagships.
Samsung is still testing One UI 8 beta builds for the Galaxy S24 and S25
Akhilesh Kumar (1,2) spotted that Samsung has updated One UI 8 beta builds for both the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24 series on servers. This suggests that Samsung might push one more beta update to the Galaxy S25 before rolling out the stable version. For the Galaxy S24 series, it likely means Samsung is adding some final touches before releasing the second beta.
All in all, it’s good news. Samsung typically tests multiple firmware builds before rolling out updates, and the same applies to beta releases. For example, Samsung was recently spotted testing another build for the Galaxy S24 series, and either of these could become second beta.
Kumar also shared the supposed One UI 8 beta build versions for the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy S25. According to him, these are S9*8BXXU4ZYHB for the Galaxy S24 series and S938NKSU5ZYHB for the Galaxy S25. Based on the build versions, the Galaxy S24 build is being tested globally. Meanwhile the Galaxy S25 build is for Korea. The hope now is that the updates will arrive on time. And, ideally, they won’t take long from here.
