Despite Beta 6 Rumors, One UI 8 Stable is on Track for September Release

Samsung has reassured Galaxy fans that the One UI 8 stable update is arriving right on schedule, with no delays. Despite speculation following the surprise appearance of a Beta 6 build on its servers, the company has confirmed the stable rollout begins for the Galaxy S25 series in September. Other models will follow shortly after.

Samsung reconfirms a September release of One UI 8 — no delays

A few weeks ago, Samsung announced an expansion of its One UI 8 Beta program to additional Galaxy devices. It also confirmed a September release of the stable version, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. The company has since launched beta updates for the Galaxy S24, Fold 6, and Flip 6, with more devices to join in the coming days. Additionally, Samsung rolled out the fifth beta build for the Galaxy S25.

Although many expected the previous release to mark the end of the beta program, a Beta 6 build now appears increasingly likely. It could bring over some of the new features debuting on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, which ship with One UI 8 preinstalled. This raised concerns that the stable rollout might be delayed, but Samsung has since clarified that the update remains on schedule.

“One UI 8 will begin rolling out to other devices in September, starting with the Galaxy S25 series,” Samsung said in a Newsroom interview about the thought process behind One UI 8 development for the new foldables. The interview highlights improvements in optimization, AI-driven features, and productivity-focused design as the three key elements intended to make Galaxy devices more intuitive and powerful.

While the stable One UI 8 update may arrive in September, Samsung may initially only cover the four Galaxy S25 models: S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and S25 Edge. A broader rollout may not begin until October. Or maybe the company will surprise us with big updates for more devices next month. We will find out soon.
