Samsung’s Canceled Galaxy S26 Edge Looks Incredibly Sleek

Samsung may have canceled the Galaxy S26 Edge, but the phone’s design, revealed through early leaks, is still grabbing fans’ attention. A dummy unit of the Edge model has now surfaced online, showing the incredibly slim form factor the company had planned. Unfortunately, the firm currently has no immediate plans to launch this sleek phone, though there’s a possibility that it could revisit the concept in the future.
Dummy Galaxy S26 Edge surfaces, shows sleek 5.5mm profile
Industry insider @OnLeaks recently shared images of the dummy Galaxy S26 Edge, giving us a closer look at the phone from multiple angles. The images show the device side by side with the iPhone 16 Pro, highlighting its ultra-thin profile. The phone measures just 5.5mm in thickness, making it slimmer than the current Galaxy S25 Edge (5.8mm thick). If launched, it would have been the thinnest Galaxy phone ever.
Furthermore, the dummy unit reveals the rear design, showing a large camera slab stretching across the back. There are two cameras arranged vertically in the top-left corner. The combination of the slim profile and camera setup gives the Galaxy S26 Edge an elegant look.
Despite the excitement over its slim design, reports suggest that Samsung doesn’t expect the Galaxy S26 Edge to perform well in terms of sales. As a result, the company has decided to cancel the model and instead focus on the main Galaxy S26 lineup. It may return to its usual structure: Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. Of course, there were earlier plans to replace the Plus model with the Edge, but Samsung has abandoned that plan.
However, according to reports, Samsung continues to experiment with ultra-thin smartphones. The company is reportedly working on a new device codenamed “More Slim,” which could carry forward the slim concept in the future. We’ll learn about the firm’s ambitious plans for slim designs in the coming months.
