One UI 8 Stable For Galaxy S25 Might Be Sooner Than You Think

It’s been nearly a month since Samsung released the first One UI 8 beta for the Galaxy S25. Since then, not much has changed, except for the beta program expanding to more regions and the release of a second beta. In less than two weeks, Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7.
We can expect One UI 8 stable to hit Galaxy S25 series shortly
The new foldables will launch running One UI 8 out of the box, and it’s reasonable to expect the Galaxy S25 to get the stable update soon after. According to a SamMobile report, the latest Galaxy S25 Ultra build has the version number BYFB. The “B” in the starting suggests this is not a beta version, since beta builds typically use “Z.”
That said, BYFB might not end up being the final stable build. Still, it indicates that Samsung’s stable One UI 8 could be ready. This shows progress, and it’s possible we won’t see any more beta releases. Though one last round is still on the table. Taking all this into account, the stable One UI 8 update could arrive on the Galaxy S25 series sooner than expected.
We’ve been testing the BYFB build on one of our devices, and there are noticeable improvements. Several bugs have been fixed, and some features are working as intended. For example, the upcoming lock screen clock style works well. We also spotted some changes coming to the Now Brief.
How soon the update will roll out is still a question. A good guess is that it will launch for the Galaxy S25 series around July 9, when the new foldables go on sale. That’s speculation, though. We don’t have confirmation yet. We’ll keep you updated as more details come in.
