Now Brief Update Found in Leaked One UI 8 Build

In the latest leaked One UI 8 build (BYFB), we found not only a smart new adaptive clock design for the lock screen but also some changes to Samsung’s Now Brief feature. This version appears more refined, with subtle UI tweaks and smarter personalization features that suggest a near-final release.
Read aloud function returns
One of the standout updates we could spot in One UI 8 BYFB build is the return of the Read aloud feature in Now Brief. In this leaked stable build, users can once again have their daily summary read out loud. This function was previously available in early One UI 8 test versions and now makes a comeback. It’s especially useful for people who like to listen while driving or doing other things.
New content
The build expands Now Brief with additional modules that enhance the user experience:
- Parking spot reminders: Now Brief remembers where you parked your car.
- Smart home alerts: Notifications about your smart devices, such as lights and thermostats.
- Wearable battery alerts: Warnings when your Galaxy Watch or Buds are running low on battery.
- Content to include
- Parking spot reminders
These new content cards turn Now Brief into a more complete information hub for your phone. The alerts are context-aware, timely, and designed to reduce the need for separate apps or manual checking.
Widget
Previously, the Now Brief widget was only available in a 2×1 format. This new build introduces a 2×2 widget option, allowing for a larger display and improved personalization on the home screen. It’s a small change, but it can make your screen feel a lot more personal and useful.
Notably, this is a stable One UI 8 build, which increases the chances that these Now Brief updates will be included in the public release.
