June 2025 Update Hits Galaxy Z Flip 6, Fold 6 and Fold SE

Samsung is extending its June 2025 security patch rollout to more devices. The latest to receive the update are the company’s 2024 foldables: the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold SE. The update is currently rolling out in South Korea, with availability in more regions like Europe and North America expected soon.
Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, and Fold SE get the June 2025 update
This June firmware delivers important security and stability improvements to these Galaxy foldables. Samsung previously detailed over 60 vulnerability fixes, most of which are Android OS patches, though a few are Galaxy-specific security fixes. These patches aim to boost overall device security and ensure smoother and more reliable performance.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6, Fold 6, and Fold SE are all getting the same build version (BYER) with their June 2025 security updates. While Samsung pushed a bootloader upgrade to the Galaxy S25 and S24 this month, that’s not the case for these foldables. This likely means it isn’t yet ready to roll out the One UI 8 beta for folding phones.
Nonetheless, we expect Samsung to release beta programs for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6 in the coming weeks. The company has already rolled out two beta builds for the Galaxy S25 lineup and should soon drop the first beta for the S24 series. The stable build is set to be released with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 next month.
Meanwhile, you should keep an eye out for the latest security patch. The June update will soon reach Galaxy Z Flip 6, Fold 6, Fold SE, and Galaxy S24 users worldwide. To manually check for the update, users can go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. We will keep you posted as this update rolls out to more devices and Samsung expands the One UI 8 beta.
