How To Watch Galaxy XR Launch Event and Everything Else You Need To Know

Time flies, and expectations are finally becoming reality. Samsung is set to take the wraps off its Galaxy XR headset (codenamed, Project Moohan) on October 21. This event will mark the debut of the first Android XR device, created in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm.
In what may have been either a slip-up or a deliberate tease, Google briefly added several apps and games for the unannounced Galaxy XR yesterday. The listing revealed a lineup of immersive experiences, including Asteroid, NFL Pro Era, and Vacation Simulator. Hopefully, that is just a preview and not the full lineup, because the Galaxy XR surely deserves a more extensive library of apps at launch.
Here’s how you can tune into Galaxy XR launch event on October 21
Samsung has already locked in the date for the Galaxy XR launch event, which is set for October 21. The company is now taking reservations for the Galaxy XR and offering a $100 credit to everyone who signs up. You may be able to use this credit toward any accessory you purchase alongside the headset.

The Galaxy XR launch event will be held virtually, so you can watch it from the comfort of your couch. Maybe grab some snacks and a drink of your choice, since it’s scheduled a bit later for viewers in the US. You can tune in on October 21 at 10 PM ET, 7 PM PT, 8 PM MT, or 9 PM CST. Those in the UK, India, Japan, and other regions can join on October 22 at 3 AM GMT, 4 AM CET, 7:30 AM IST, and 11 AM JST. Come back at the mentioning time, and watch the event from the video embedded below.
Most of the details, including pricing and specifications, are still under wraps. However, the Galaxy XR is expected to come in at a much lower price than Apple’s Vision Pro. Apple recently refreshed the Vision Pro with the M5 chip but kept the same $3,599 price tag. Hopefully, Samsung will price the Galaxy XR around $2,000.
