Here’s When One UI 8.5 Beta 3 Could Roll Out for the Galaxy S25

Samsung has already rolled out two rounds of the One UI 8.5 beta, and a third should be on the way. Given reports that Samsung has pushed back the Galaxy S26 series release date, that likely means there will be at least four rounds of the One UI 8.5 beta. We may now know when One UI 8.5 beta 3 is coming.
One UI 8.5 beta 3 could be just days away
According to Tarun Vats, Samsung could drop the One UI 8.5 beta 3 for the Galaxy S25 trio around January 5 or January 6. Samsung typically rolls out these updates on Mondays, which makes January 5 the more likely date. Multiple sources have suggested the same timeline, so it may be worth preparing in advance. That said, this will be only the second beta for users in select regions.
There’s still no word on whether more devices will gain access to the One UI 8.5 beta on the mentioned date. So far, only the Galaxy S25 trio is eligible for the beta, which makes sense. However, one would expect eligibility to extend to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 (review) and Galaxy Z Flip 7 (review) soon. Unfortunately, there’s still no confirmation on that front.
In any case, the stable version of One UI 8.5 will debut on the Galaxy S26 series, which is expected to launch in February, with sales likely starting in March. Earlier today, we also got our best look yet at the upcoming Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra. While these are dummy units, they still offer the clearest look so far.
