Glance Brings AI-Powered Fashion Try-Ons to Your Galaxy Lock Screen

You pick up your phone to check the time, and suddenly, you’re staring at an AI-generated version of yourself wearing a jacket you don’t own, standing in a place you’ve never been. A few taps later, it’s in your cart. That’s the idea behind Glance’s new AI-powered fashion tool rolling out to Samsung Galaxy phones.
Glance wants your Samsung Galaxy’s lock screen to suggest what you wear next
Glance announced it has partnered with Samsung to bring generative AI shopping to the lock screen. Starting June 4, Galaxy S22, S23, S24 (including S24 FE), and S25 series users can try on clothes virtually. This is possible just by uploading a selfie. Glance uses Gemini and Imagen models to generate lifelike images of you in different outfits. You can check these out without even unlocking your phone.

“Glance AI is driven by a core human truth: we want to become the best version of ourselves. What stands between that aspiration and reality is the awareness of what is possible or access to platforms that enable this,” said Naveen Tewari, Glance’s CEO and Founder.
Meanwhile, Jason Shim, Samsung Galaxy Store USA’s head, said, “Glance AI is a perfect example of the kind of high-quality and unique content we strive to deliver. By using AI to personalize content and shopping directly on the lock screen, it brings a smarter, more dynamic experience that reflects the forward-thinking spirit of the Galaxy Store.”
Glance has been experimenting with lock screen content in India and Southeast Asia for years, usually with news and entertainment. The experience is opt-in and currently free, with no ads or subscriptions. However, Glance’s privacy policy notes it stores biometric data like selfies for up to a year. This may concern some users. The company insists data is not shared without consent and can be deleted at any time.
