Gemini Will Make It Easier to Share Text Responses on Galaxy Phones

One probably can’t escape AI chatbots. Some are full of information, not always accurate, but totally worth checking out. Whether it’s asking for advice, looking for ways to learn something while chatting, or anything else, these pretty much do what you ask. But when you want to share Gemini’s text responses with someone, it’s not very straightforward yet.
Google will make it easier for you to share text responses from Gemini
Well, that won’t always be the case. Google is now making it easier to share Gemini’s text responses, but the process isn’t perfect yet. If you want to share text from a Gemini response, you have to go through several steps. Long-press the response, tap the three-dot menu, choose Select text, and then manually highlight what you want. It’s somewhat a tedious process for something that should be simple.
Thankfully, the latest Google app beta v16.20.48.sa.arm64 reveals an update in the works. According to Android Authority, instead of all those steps, you’ll soon be able to long-press directly on the Gemini response and double-tap to start selecting text. This should make it faster to highlight and share specific parts. But if you want to select the entire response, you’ll still need to go into the three-dot menu and choose Copy text.
There’s a catch, though. If the Gemini response includes a list — whether bulleted, numbered, or another format — you won’t be able to select all the text at once. You’ll need to highlight each list item individually or ask Gemini to remove the bullets and present the text as plain paragraphs. Only then can you select everything at once.
This change isn’t finalized yet, the report says. In a demo, the new feature allowed text selection for the first paragraph and part of the second, but not the list sections. After asking Gemini to remove the bullet points, text selection worked as expected. So while this update does make sharing Gemini AI responses easier, it still has some limitations, especially with lists.
