Galaxy Z TriFold Price Leak: It Could Be Cheaper Than Expected

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z TriFold may not carry the sky-high price tag many expected. According to a new tip floating on the internet, the company is targeting a starting price of around $2,499. If true, its first tri-folding phone would be far more accessible than early predictions suggested.

The Galaxy Z TriFold is shaping up to be one of Samsung’s most ambitious foldables yet, but its price might not be as extreme as many expected. Sure, $2,499 is still a premium price for a smartphone, but it’s a significant drop from the early leaks that placed the device at $3,000 or higher.

If this updated figure is accurate, the TriFold would debut at only about $380 more than the 512GB Fold 7. It will also undercut similarly configured Huawei Mate XTs by around $300. Even though Huawei’s tri-folding phones aren’t available widely, Samsung is pricing the TriFold pretty competitively in a niche category where pricing can easily spiral upward.

The latest leak also reaffirms some of the key specs, including 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Samsung is expected to unveil the device on December 5, though it may not go on sale widely anytime soon. Color options may be limited, and so is availability in more markets. 

The Galaxy Z TriFold was always going to be a premium product, but the updated pricing paints a far more encouraging picture. Instead of debuting as a tech showpiece priced out of reach for most buyers, the TriFold now seems poised to land in a range that, while expensive, is still realistic for early adopters of cutting-edge foldable tech.

If Samsung confirms the ~$2,499 price tag, the device could become one of the most compelling foldable launches of 2025. Not just because of its design, but because it balances innovation with (relatively) reasonable pricing. Stay tuned for the official launch early next month.
