If previous reports are anything to go by, we may finally see the Galaxy Z TriFold unveiled later this month at an international summit in Korea. Where else Samsung will debut its tri-fold, however, has remained uncertain for a while now. A report last month suggested that Samsung is also considering a launch of the Galaxy Z TriFold in the US.

A report suggests Galaxy Z TriFold could launch in the UAE as well

What makes this particularly interesting is that there wasn’t much clarity regarding which countries might see the Galaxy Z TriFold first. China and South Korea were among the likely candidates, probably because Samsung often keeps limited editions for its home turf and China. Now, a new report brings some good news.

Galaxy Z Trifold

SamMobile reports that it has learned Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold will receive a much wider launch than previously expected. The outlet confirms that the device will launch in the UAE and other markets, which may also include the US. Notably, the UAE was not among the initially expected markets, suggesting that Samsung is now ready for a broader rollout.

That said, the past few weeks have shed more light than ever on the tri-fold’s specs. Reportedly, it will feature a sprawling 10-inch main screen when unfolded and a 6.49-inch cover display. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, as leaks have long suggested. This could be paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

A patent filed yesterday revealed details of the folding mechanism and also hints at a familiar camera island, though patents don’t always reflect the final product. Still, it’s worth keeping an eye out. Additionally, firmware builds suggest the Galaxy Z TriFold will come with its own set of One UI 8 features.
