Here’s Our First Look at Galaxy Z Wide Fold (or Fold 8 Wide)

At this point, most of you probably know there are going to be three foldables from Samsung this year. In theory, they’re still months away, but leaks don’t stop. Yesterday, we saw CAD renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 8. And now what might be the Galaxy Z Wide Fold (or Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide) has shown up in fresh renders.

Courtesy of Android Headlines and OnLeaks, this is our first look at the Galaxy Z Wide Fold (or Fold 8 Wide). The first thing you’ll notice is that the Wide Fold looks a bit like the Galaxy S25 Edge (RIP!) from the rear. While these renders may not reflect the final design, they suggest it will have only two rear cameras, unlike the Fold 8. That will probably be the main differentiator compared to the Fold 8.

The report says the Galaxy Fold 8 Wide will measure 123.9 × 161.4 × 4.9 mm when unfolded, including the raised bezels. Without them, it’s about 4.3 mm thick. When folded, it comes in at 123.9 × 82.2 × 9.8 mm. With the camera bump, the thickness goes up to 14.6 mm.

Other rumored specs include a 5.4-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch main or inner display. The chipset will likely be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, the same one expected in the Galaxy S26 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 8. Memory configurations will likely match the Fold 8, with 256GB/12GB, 512GB/12GB, and 1TB/16GB options. The battery could be 5,000 mAh, with support for 45W wired and 25W wireless charging. It will likely debut running Android 17-based One UI 9 out of the box.

Pricing is the most interesting question. Honestly, there’s not much clarity yet, but the report suggests it will be priced close to the Galaxy Z Fold 8. If the Fold 8 ends up costing around $2,000, we can expect this to come in about $100 to $200 less, though that’s still just a rough guess for now.
