Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 Inch One Step Closer to One UI 8.5 Beta

Just minutes ago, we exclusively reported that Samsung has created One UI 8.5 beta forum pages for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 in two popular regions. At the time of publication, Samsung hadn’t started testing the One UI 8.5 beta build for these foldables. But as it turns out, Samsung is moving fast.
First One UI 8.5 beta build spotted for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7!
As spotted by eagle-eyed Alfatürk (1, 2), Samsung has now started testing One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. That doesn’t mean you can go ahead and install the beta update right away. If anything, it means the beta update is one step closer to release.
The build versions in question are F966NKSU8ZZC4 and F766NKSU8ZZC4 for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, respectively. Looking at these, Samsung has started internally testing the beta firmware build in Korea. There’s no telling how soon Samsung may open the beta program for these foldables, or whether it will do so at all.
Still, this is a solid indication that good things may be on the way for those using the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. That might also bring some bad news, because if a beta program is on the way, it could also mean some delays before the stable One UI 8.5 rollout.
One more thing to note is that there are no signs so far suggesting a similar possibility for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Even though it was released alongside the Galaxy Z7 siblings, it’s still a Fan Edition foldable. And given the recent situation, where Samsung didn’t roll out the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 FE, that might explain why.
