Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Watch 8 Series Bag More Certifications As Launch Nears

The countdown may have already begun for the big show, where Samsung is set to pull the wraps off the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 series. According to the latest rumors, we might also see Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025 debut. Now, ahead of the grand unveiling, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Watch 8, and Watch 8 Classic have secured additional certifications.

Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 bag SafetyKorea certification; Galaxy Watch 8 series gets nod from GCF body

The folks over at Xpertpick recently spotted these certifications across SafetyKorea as well as approval from the GCF authority. More specifically, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 have bagged the SafetyKorea certification. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic have received approval from the GCF authority.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 appeared on SafetyKorea bearing model numbers SM-F966N and SM-F766N. The “N” suffix confirms that these are Korea-specific models. Additionally, these models have been confirmed in numerous leaks before, building a clearer picture of what to expect.

Coming to the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic, these two have passed GCF certification. They don’t reveal much technical information, except the certification confirms the model numbers. According to that, they bear SM-L335F and SM-L505F, respectively. There isn’t a whole lot more to glean, except that these developments point to an imminent launch.

Even though Samsung has not explicitly laid out its plans regarding the new foldables’ launch, the rumors have suggested two possible dates. One such rumor claims that the launch will likely happen on July 9 or 10, while another says it could be pushed to mid-July. Either way, the foldables will be here next month. Samsung might also return to New York to host the July Unpacked event.
