As we move closer to the upcoming July Unpacked, new reports suggest there might be a surprise in store. Folks over at Android Headlines have revealed that the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025 could join the smartwatch lineup. The publication has also shared the designs for the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch Ultra 2025.
Samsung might debut Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025 alongside Galaxy Watch 8 series
The most surprising element here is obviously the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025, which had mostly been a rumor. Samsung debuted the first-gen Galaxy Watch Ultra just last year, and a sequel this soon seemed unlikely. But if the report is anything to go by, we might very well see it join the Galaxy Watch 8 lineup. You can check out the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 series and the Galaxy Watch Ultra’s design below.

Starting off, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025 doesn’t seem to bring too many changes compared to the previous iteration. One thing you’ll notice is that Samsung is adding a bit of color to the mix. Right now, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is only available in Orange or Dark Gray, but the images reveal a new blue colorway. That could be because blue seems to be shaping up as Samsung’s hero color, judging by recent launches.
Next up, we have the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. We had previously exclusively shown off the renders of the latter in collaboration with OnLeaks. The squircle design is here to stay, though it looks a little less pronounced on the Galaxy Watch 8 compared to the other two. Other than that, the Galaxy Watch 8 might also come in two sizes, likely 40mm and 44mm.
That said, Samsung will likely host the event on either July 9/10 or sometime in mid-July. Both dates come from reliable sources, based on which we’ve also estimated when reservations and retail sales could begin. Apart from these smartwatches, we’re also expecting the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 to make their debut.
