Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 Enterprise Editions will get eight years of software support

There’s some good news for enterprise users who plan to pick up the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Flip 7. According to @TheGalox_, Samsung is adding one more year of software support for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 Enterprise Edition models. That means businesses will get eight years of updates, which is something we also see with Galaxy S25 series Enterprise Edition.

For regular users, the story is still solid. Samsung will very well be promising seven years of software support for both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. They’ll ship with Android 16-based One UI 8, which means updates should keep rolling out through Android 23, expected sometime in 2032/2033.

There’s also something interesting about this year’s launch. These foldables will debut running a newer version of One UI than the Galaxy S25 series did. Samsung hasn’t said anything official, but the early rollout of One UI 8 might be its quiet way of making up for the delays around One UI 7. If that’s the case, we’re not complaining.
