Galaxy Z Flip 7 resurfaces on Geekbench ahead of the big show

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 recently appeared on Geekbench with the model number SM-F766B, confirming it’s an international variant (h/t: Tarun Vats). The upcoming Flip phone packs the Exynos 2500 chipset, which suggests Samsung might use Exynos processors in select markets, or possibly go all in with it.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 had appeared on Geekbench before, but this time the scores have improved. In the previous listing, which was for a US model, the single-core score was 2012 and the multi-core score was 7563. Now, it shows a single-core score of 2356 and a multi-core score of 8076. Besides the scores, the listing also reveals detailed specs for the Exynos 2500 chipset.

According to the specs, the Exynos 2500 (S5E9955) features a 10-core CPU setup, with a prime core clocked at 3.30GHz. It’s supported by two Cortex-A725 cores running at 2.75GHz, five more Cortex-A725 cores at 2.36GHz, and two Cortex-A520 efficiency cores at 1.8GHz. We’ll have to wait and see how the Exynos 2500 performs in real-world use since it hasn’t hit the market yet. One promising feature is that the Exynos 2500 will support satellite connectivity.

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 will launch running One UI 8. Additionally, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will feature a major redesign of the cover screen, which will now be a full screen. Since the launch is just around the corner, we’ll have to wait a few more days for everything to be official. If the July 9 date is accurate, reservations for the upcoming devices might start very soon.
