AceFast AceFit Air Review: Comfy Open-Ear Buds You’ll Actually Keep On

There are tons of earbuds on the market, and unless you’re an audiophile, you probably won’t notice a night-and-day difference in sound quality. What you will notice, though, is how the earbuds look, their battery life, how well they stay in place, and a bunch of other everyday factors. AceFast’s AceFit Air ticks most of these boxes, and comes at somewhat a budget price tag. But how well they actually are?

Unboxing

These are open earbuds to begin with. If you’ve never used this type before, you might struggle a bit the first time, since most of us are used to traditional in-ear buds. Open earbuds are a little different. You simply rest them on your ear, and they stay in place surprisingly well.

In the box, you’ll find the earbuds, a charging cable, and some basic paperwork. The AceFast AceFit Air comes in two colors: Black and White. While some might find the options a bit plain, I’d say they’re timeless and classy. The packaging is sleek and well-designed.

Design

AceFast simply nails it with the design. It’s one area where the brand must score full marks. These simply look fantastic and very minimalistic, which works out because they go with most tasks. They are very lightweight (each earbud weighs just 7.5g), meaning you’ll barely feel any added weight when wearing them. The core is made of titanium, while a liquid silicone coating provides a smooth, comfortable feel and rugged durability. They stick quite well to the ears, and won’t fall off easily.

The case also features a matte finish with a subtle note of branding. The ultra-lightweight and slim qualities carry over to the case as well, which is barely thick at all. It has a USB-C port on the rear side, which might not sit well with everyone.

Audio and Performance

This is the second thing that matters the most. I’d still say that comfort matters more than sound quality. I also regularly use Sony WH-CH720N headphones on a somewhat regular basis, which I feel has superior audio quality compared to the AceFast AceFit Air. But it’s not suited for prolonged working hours.

There’s quite a crisp sound coming out of each earbud while playing music. You can check how to customize the EQ using the app in the next section. Many might feel there’s sound leakage because the earbuds don’t fit tightly, which doesn’t make it very private. Honestly, I don’t see that as a problem because I want ambient noise to reach my ears, whether I’m at work and someone’s calling my name, or when I’m taking a walk outdoors and someone’s honking.

While it comes down to personal preference and use case, you may or may not like this aspect. But if you intend to use them for jogging or while at work, I’d definitely recommend open earbuds. There’s also one more thing the AceFast AceFit Air lacks, which is ANC. That’s partially due to its design. Call quality is solid indoors, as each earbud has a mic, but without wind reduction it can sound thin outdoors. They connect via Bluetooth 5.4 and support SBC and AAC codecs.

Charging

The AceFast AceFit Air earbuds offer impressive battery performance for their price, and the charging setup plays a key role in that. Each earbud delivers around 6 hours of playback on a full charge, and the charging case adds an extra 19 hours, bringing the total to roughly 25 hours. That’s enough for a full day of mixed use, from workouts to work calls.

The case itself uses a USB-C port placed on the bottom, which can be slightly awkward to access if it’s lying flat. What stands out is the fast-charging capability. Just 10 minutes in the case gives you over 2 hours of playback, which is a huge plus when you’re in a rush. The case takes about two hours to fully charge.

There’s no wireless charging support, however, which is something that’s increasingly common even in midrange earbuds. Still, the efficient battery life, solid fast charging make up for it.

App and extra features

As you set up your AceFast AceFit Air earbuds, you should download the AceFast app, available on both the Play Store and App Store. The app has a very simple user interface, which allows a wider user base to try it out. After installing, you can select your earbuds and connect them quickly. It has some basic features, such as showing the battery level for each earbud on the home screen. You also get two menus: Sound Effect and Gesture Control.

There are four options in Sound Effect: Original Sound, Human Voice, Bass, and Custom EQ. Of course, each one produces a different type of audio. Other than that, it has somewhat okay gesture control that works quite well. You can customize the click, double click, triple click, and long press actions using the app for both the left and right earbuds.

The response time is generally quick, though it’s easy to trigger accidental touches while adjusting the buds in your ears. That said, the app gives you decent flexibility, you can assign gestures for playback control, volume, voice assistant, or switching sound modes. It’s not the most advanced control system, and there’s no wear detection, but it gets the basics right.

AceFit Air also includes multipoint pairing, so you can stay connected to two devices at once. For example, I tried connecting the AceFit Air with a Samsung Galaxy A55 (2024) and a MacBook Air M4 (2025), juggling between Spotify, YouTube, and taking calls. It worked as expected, not letting me down.

Verdict

The AceFast AceFit Air earbuds find their sweet spot in the world of open-ear wireless audio. They’re not trying to be the best-sounding or go head-to-head with noise-canceling heavyweights, and that’s totally okay. What they really shine at is comfort. These buds are so light, you might forget you’re even wearing them, especially if you’re used to the usual in-ear or over-ear options.

They’re a great pick for everyday use, whether you’re at your desk, out for a walk, or hitting the gym. One thing that makes them stand out is how they let in outside sounds. For some, that might be a dealbreaker, but for others, it’s a win-win. You get to enjoy your music and still keep an ear out for what’s going on around you.
