Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE Available for Pre-Order — But Not Through US Carriers

Alongside the regular Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, Samsung also unveiled a Fan Edition model called the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE for the first time. Thanks to its affordable price, more people can now access foldable technology without spending much. However, there’s a catch — the device is not available for purchase through carriers in the United States, which many prefer due to some exciting benefits.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is not available through US carriers

Shortly after unveiling its next-generation foldable phones, Samsung listed all the devices for pre-order on its official online store. As expected, you can choose to buy them either unlocked or through carriers such as Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T. Unfortunately, Samsung’s Fan Edition clamshell foldable is only offered unlocked — there are no US carrier options available. Even the carriers’ own websites are selling the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, but not the Z Flip 7 FE.

This might disappoint some consumers, especially those who prefer to purchase devices through a carrier’s monthly payment plans. It’s unclear why there’s no carrier version of the Z Flip 7 FE or if the company will introduce it in the coming days. Speaking of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, it is essentially a rebadged Galaxy Z Flip 6 with an in-house chipset, longer software support, and new memory configurations. It features the Exynos 2400 processor, replacing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 found in last year’s clamshell model. On the software front, it runs Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box.

The 8GB + 128GB variant is available for $899, while the 8GB + 256GB model costs $959.
