Galaxy Watch 8 Series Promo Material Leaks Just Ahead of Launch Event

It’s finally Galaxy Unpacked week, and the leaks are pouring in! Some last-minute reveals have filled in almost all the missing pieces about the upcoming devices. Thanks to that, we now likely know when the devices will start shipping and how their specs stack up against each other.

Galaxy Watch 8 series promo material leaks hours before the event

If that wasn’t enough, promo material for the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic has also seemingly leaked. Courtesy of WinFuture’s Ronald Quandt, Galaxy Watch 8 series promo images have surfaced not much before Samsung hosts Galaxy Unpacked. Quandt posted several updates on Bluesky and says all of this comes from official Samsung promotional material.

There are two promo images — the first shows the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and the second features the Galaxy Watch 8. The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic image teases the rotating bezel, which looks nearly identical to the renders we exclusively published back in May. We can also see that Gemini is finally replacing Google Assistant on Galaxy Watches, something Samsung announced a while ago.

The Galaxy Watch 8 image shows a squircle design and One UI 8 Watch running on the device. The color here looks much better than in earlier marketing renders, and it highlights the upcoming Running Coach feature.

It seems like all the upgrades are coming to the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. Unlike those, there’s no Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. As the name suggested, it’s a 2025 refresh of the Galaxy Watch Ultra with only a few changes, and nothing major. If the recent specs leak is accurate, the differences are pretty clear. Just a heads-up, if you’re planning to pick up either of these, be sure to reserve them to get an extra bonus. You won’t be able to claim them once pre-orders begin.
