Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch Ultra (2025) with One UI 8 Watch at its Unpacked event on July 9. It is simultaneously testing the Wear OS 6-based update for existing models. The company has already launched public beta programs for the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra, while internal testing is ongoing for others. A Galaxy Watch 6 Classic was recently spotted running One UI 8 Watch.

First look at One UI 8 Watch on the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic

Trusted tipster @Alfaturk16 recently shared images of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic running a One UI 8 Watch test build. These leaked images offer a sneak peek at Samsung’ss next-gen smartwatch software, based on Wear OS 6. We can see redesigned app icons and new battery widgets that closely resemble the visual style of One UI 7 on Galaxy smartphones. Samsung aims to create a unique yet consistent visual pattern across all of its mobile devices.

With One UI 8 Watch, Samsung has also refreshed the user interface with cleaner visuals. Additionally, it has improved system animations for smoother navigation. This update also brings a host of new health features as well as improvements for the existing ones. The company touts improved heart rate tracking, possibly with more accurate data and faster readings. Moreover, One UI 8 Watch contains many other minor enhancements that add to your experience.

The latest leak suggests Samsung is nearing a public launch of One UI 8 Watch beta programs for the Galaxy Watch 6 series. The beta updates may be limited to users in South Korea and the US, though. There’s little chance the Korean firm will launch beta programs in other markets. Expect Samsung to reveal more about One UI 8 Watch at Unpacked tomorrow, where the new watches will be accompanied by the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE.
