Galaxy S26 Ultra Could Look and Feel Very Different — See Early Mockups

A few hours ago, leaked dummy units revealed the rear design of Samsung’s Galaxy S26 lineup, including more rounded corners on the Ultra. Now, new mockups have surfaced, giving us a clearer look at the Ultra model’s shape. The mockups also confirm a slightly taller and wider build than the S25 Ultra.
Sign-ups for the Galaxy S26 Ultra Mystery Box are now open! Every box includes a free case, screen protector, cleaning kit, phone stand, and more goodies.
Galaxy S26 Ultra gets subtle but meaningful dimension changes
The leaked mockups, shared by tipster Ice Universe, compare the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra side by side. The 2025 model measures 162.8mm tall and 77.6mm wide, while the next Ultra may stretch to 163.4mm tall and 77.9mm wide. In terms of thickness, Samsung may cut it down from 8.2mm to 7.8mm.
It’s a minor difference on paper, but with smartphones, even fractions of a millimeter can change how a device feels in the hand. To that end, the Galaxy S26 Ultra also has more rounded corners, potentially improving grip comfort. While this shift moves the design away from the iconic boxy look of Samsung’s Note and Ultra flagships, the company likely views it as a more practical choice over clinging to nostalgia.
Speaking of which, a camera bump may return to Samsung’s flagships next year, driven largely by their thinner builds. To fit in a sizeable battery while keeping a sleek profile, Samsung may have little choice but to raise the cameras. All three Galaxy S26 models are expected to feature bumps, with the Edge sporting a wide bar that spans the top of the back panel. The S26 Pro and Ultra adopt more traditional vertical camera bumps.
Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, so there’s still some time before the devices enter mass production. That is when we should get a clear picture of the new flagships, so stay tuned.
