Samsung is pushing smartphone engineering closer to its absolute limits. Reports have long suggested that the upcoming Galaxy S26 series will be sleeker than ever, and we can now confirm it. According to our source, all three models will be noticeably slimmer than their 2025 predecessors. We also have confirmation that the Ultra model keeps the S Pen despite the thinner frame.

Galaxy S26 Ultra is super slim but keeps the built-in S Pen (without Bluetooth)

An insider source has revealed that the Galaxy S26 Pro, which now replaces the base model, measures just 6.7mm thick. This makes it 0.5mm slimmer than this year’s Galaxy S25 at 7.2mm. The Galaxy S26 Edge pushes things even further, coming in at just 5.5mm compared to the S25 Edge’s 5.8mm. This is despite a battery bump from 3,900mAh to 4,200mAh, with reports also hinting at a switch to silicon-carbon batteries.

Sign-ups for the Galaxy S26 Ultra Mystery Box are now open! You’ll get full more details soon, but count on more guaranteed items and bigger random prizes than ever. At minimum, your box includes a free case, screen protector, cleaning kit, and phone stand.

Coming to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, it also drops under 8mm, now measuring just 7.8mm. To recall, the S25 Ultra is 8.2mm and the S24 Ultra is 8.6mm thick. Our source tells us that Samsung can’t make the phone any thinner due to the built-in S Pen, unless the stylus accessory itself is made thinner, which isn’t practical. This also means that future Ultra models may switch to an external S Pen, like the Galaxy S21 Ultra, or drop the stylus altogether.

It’s worth noting that these numbers come from the latest internal prototypes of the Galaxy S26 trio, so the final dimensions may vary slightly. Still, they’re expected to remain in the same ballpark. The slimmer builds highlight Samsung’s continued push to refine its design language while balancing battery capacity and durability. More details should emerge in the coming months as development moves forward. The phones launch in early 2026.
